A water well and pump site in deep well navy and a clear current blue, where every section closes on a ruled waterline and the whole job is laid out as one run from drilling to installation.
A design concept, not a client site. The name and every detail of the business it was drawn for have been replaced.
The design decisions
- Archivo, run wide rather than italic, carries the headings, with IBM Plex Sans for body copy and wide tracked small caps for labels.
- The palette moves from near black well navy at the top through deeper blues, with a current blue for the call buttons and a pale steel ground for the service index.
- The turnkey run is five stages on one line, drilling, pump design, permitting, trenching and installation, each marked by a dot on the rule rather than a number.
- Every dark section ends on a tick marked waterline, and the kinds of site served are set as large wide type on the dark ground beside a tall photo slot.
