Concept: Solar panel and turf cleaning, South Bay
The homepage descends like a house from roof to yard: a sky blue band for panel cleaning, a terracotta band for the roof edge bird work, and a turf green band for lawn care, ending on grass.
A design concept, not a client site. The name and every detail of the business it was drawn for have been replaced.
The design decisions
- Familjen Grotesk carries the large display headlines and Public Sans the body text, both sturdy and plain enough to sit on saturated colour bands.
- The palette is solid, never blended bands of sky, roof terracotta, turf green and ink, with a bright sun orange used only for the call button on the sky band.
- A drawn diamond mesh strip marks each roof edge transition, and a small vertical label in the left gutter names each band's altitude as the page goes down.
- Services in the turf band are set as large single word rows beside two staggered portrait photos, and on phones a split call and text bar pins to the bottom of the screen.
