Concept: Roofing, Granville
A dark roofing site built around one continuous eave drawn across four panels, so the same roof line runs through spring storms, summer, falling leaves and winter ice, with the work each season brings.
A design concept, not a client site. The name and every detail of the business it was drawn for have been replaced.
The design decisions
- Libre Franklin in heavy, tight weights sets the headings and wordmark like truck door lettering, with Lora, a warm book serif, for the body and the italic season line.
- The palette is slate shingle and night ink for the grounds, snow white for text, and a single brick red for the call button, the rule over the services heading and the contact band.
- The hero is three photos side by side at their own proportions, edge to edge on the ink ground, with the headline over a dark scrim and the call button on the band below.
- The season strip is drawn in SVG: shingle courses, fascia and gutter line up panel to panel while rain, sun, leaves and icicles change on top, each panel linking to the work it needs.
