Concept: Plumbing, Newark
A plumbing and handyman site on a solid sky blue ground, led by huge tight type and a dark call band that repeats wherever a visitor is likely to decide.
A design concept, not a client site. The name and every detail of the business it was drawn for have been replaced.
The design decisions
- Commissioner in its heaviest weight sets the headline tight and oversized, with Spectral, a quiet book serif, for the supporting copy and the italic band lines.
- The palette is a clear sky blue for the hero and the contact block, charcoal for the call bands and the footer, and white between them for the service list.
- A row of three photo slots sits under the hero at one shared height, each at its own aspect ratio, so nothing is cropped.
- Services run as a ruled two column list, name in bold blue on the left and one plain line on the right, beside a short heading that stays put.
