Concept: Mortgage broker, San Diego
A VA home loan broker site laid out like a working file, with a fixed left rail holding the name, the phone and a stamped tag, and a long white column of plain explanation beside it.
A design concept, not a client site. The name and every detail of the business it was drawn for have been replaced.
The design decisions
- Archivo, pulled narrow for the headings and the rail, sets against Literata, a reading serif, for the body copy and the italic mission line.
- The palette is near black ink for the mission and contact bands, a pale mist green for the specialty band, and one bright green for the call button and links.
- A fixed left rail carries the wordmark, phone, navigation and a tag with a punched hole and a dashed rule, while the content scrolls in its own column.
- Loan types run as a ruled ledger, name, one line and a read more link across each row, and the steps stack down a centered column joined by short vertical rules.
