Concept: HVAC, Newark
A heating and air site in deep navy and a flame orange, where every story is tagged with the weather it happened in and the services split cleanly into heating and cooling.
A design concept, not a client site. The name and every detail of the business it was drawn for have been replaced.
The design decisions
- Big Shoulders, a tall condensed display face, carries the headings and the uppercase condition tags, with Karla for the body copy.
- The palette is deep navy and near black for the hero and the job photos, a frost white for the services, and a flame orange for the highlight, the buttons and the closing call band.
- Each scenario carries a conditions line, the weather in orange and the job in white, split by a short vertical rule, so the season is the first thing read.
- Services sit in two seasonal columns, heating and air conditioning, each name set large with an orange arrow and one plain line beneath.
