Concept: Home buying and remodeling, San Diego
A home buying and remodeling site in mineral teals, where a soft serif and a square framed photo on a teal panel set the tone and the work is listed like a table of contents.
A design concept, not a client site. The name and every detail of the business it was drawn for have been replaced.
The design decisions
- Fraunces, a soft display serif, sets the headlines, the short centered statement and the work lines, with Karla for body copy and tracked small caps labels.
- The palette runs from a pale mineral ground and white through a mist band and a mid teal panel to a near black teal for the audience section and footer.
- The hero is a split: headline and one button on the pale side, a square photo with a long soft shadow floating on the teal side.
- The kind of work is a ruled list with small caps labels on the left and serif lines on the right, and the audiences sit in three ruled columns on the dark band.
