Concept: Coffee shop, Poway
A coffee shop whose best seat is out on the lawn beside a playing field, so the page runs from mown grass stripes in the hero to a seating plan that walks from the road through the room, patio and lawn to the field.
A design concept, not a client site. The name and every detail of the business it was drawn for have been replaced.
The design decisions
- Cinzel inscription capitals set the headings and the stacked header mark, with Crimson Pro for reading and italic notes.
- Field green carries the hero and the lawn, an oak brown band holds the toast list, warm flour is the page ground, and a royal navy closes the page in the visit band and footer.
- The hero lays slanted mown lawn stripes full bleed with the headline bottom left and the room photo on the right, and a flour hours ticket overlaps the photo's foot and drops into the next section.
- The signature is a schematic seating map built in plain page markup, reading left to right from the road through Indoor, Patio and Lawn to striped field, with real text labels and a not to scale note; on phones a pinned navy call bar stays at the foot of the screen.
